The Financial Analyst supports the business by providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. The role is responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and applying US GAAP principles to complex transactions. This position partners with cross-functional teams to develop financial insights, support decision-making, and improve reporting processes while maintaining strong internal controls and SOX compliance. Successful candidates bring strong analytical skills, experience in accounting or financial analysis, and proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office tools. What You Will Do Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, and analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and key financial accounts. Analyze financial data and business performance, identify trends and insights, and support decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis. Apply accounting principles and US GAAP standards to financial transactions, ensuring accurate classification, recording, and review of financial information. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial analysis tools, reporting processes, and data-driven business practices. Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and financial reporting regulations while supporting audit and remediation activities. Support special projects and initiatives while managing multiple priorities and meeting established deadlines. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA, MBA, or other advanced degree considered an asset. Minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience, or completion of a Finance & Accounting Development Program combined with additional professional experience. Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements, with experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
