The France Inland Agent Single Carrier is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring landside transportation activities to ensure the timely and efficient movement of containers and cargo. The role acts as the operational link between customers, transport providers, terminals, depots and internal stakeholders to deliver a high-quality transportation service while maintaining operational efficiency and cost control. The Dispatcher supports daily execution of transport operations by assigning transport orders, monitoring service performance, resolving operational issues and ensuring compliance with company standards, safety requirements and customer commitments. Responsibilities
Plan and dispatch daily truck, barge and rail transportation activities. Allocate transport orders to carriers while optimizing fleet utilization and operational efficiency. Monitor transport execution and proactively manage delays, disruptions and exceptions. Coordinate with trucking companies, rail operators, terminals and depots. Ensure containers are collected and delivered according to customer requirements and agreed service levels. Maintain accurate operational data within Transport Management Systems (TMS). Communicate proactively with internal teams and customers regarding shipment status and operational issues. Investigate and resolve transportation exceptions and customer escalations. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational performance and customer experience. Ensure compliance with company procedures, transportation regulations, safety standards and operational policies. Contribute to KPI achievement including on-time delivery, productivity, cost efficiency and service quality. Who We Are Looking For: Someone with:
Experience
in transportation, logistics, supply chain or container operations. Knowledge of road and/or rail transportation operations. Good understanding of transport planning and dispatch activities.
Experience
in using Transport Management Systems (TMS) or similar operational platforms is preferred Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced operational environment. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Customer-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team. Attention to detail and operational accuracy. Fluent French and good English communication skills.
