Department BSD OFPRO-Office of Faculty and Physician Recruiting and Onboarding About the Department This team ensures the lifecycle of a faculty, physician or provider hire from position ideation to first ninety days are optimized for both the newly hired faculty and the respective department. This office ensures the recruitment process is efficient, inclusive, and aligned with the guidelines outlined by the University’s Provosts office while ensuring candidates and new hires have a high-touch experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Job Summary

The job provides professional support in the development and implementation of faculty support programs. The Faculty Onboarding Specialist coordinates the onboarding process for newly hired faculty from offer acceptance through their successful transition into the institution. The role ensures a smooth and positive onboarding experience by coordinating required processes, monitoring timelines, and serving as a primary point of contact for new faculty.

Responsibilities

Manage onboarding processes for new faculty hires from acceptance through early employment. Serve as the primary onboarding contact for new faculty. Track completion of onboarding requirements, documentation, and training. Coordinate with HR, IT, credentialing, payroll, benefits, and departmental administrators. Ensure timely setup of access to systems, workspace, ID badges, and institutional resources. Maintain onboarding records and documentation. Assist with faculty orientation and onboarding communications. Assists with managing the day-to-day operations of faculty affair programs with a moderate level of guidance. Serves as a resource for program information. Resolves problems or questions referred by program staff, University administrators, or other contingencies. May process job postings for faculty and other academic appointments. Performs other related work as needed. Minimum

Administration, Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.

Experience

2–4 years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, or academic administration strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
