Job description

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth and achieving sales objectives by delivering consumer and commercial replacement sell-in targets while supporting distributors and their sales representatives in maximizing sell-through performance. This role champions the implementation of the Goodyear Trade CRM framework to strengthen customer relationships and differentiate the Goodyear Customer Care approach, fostering greater customer loyalty and enhancing Goodyear's Share of Mind, Share of Heart, and ultimately, Share of Soul. In addition, the Area Sales Manager leads the execution of marketing and trade initiatives within the assigned territory, identifies new business opportunities and market white spaces, and works collaboratively with channel partners to expand market presence and drive sustainable growth. What You'll Do You will deliver consumer and commercial replacement sell-in targets, achieving objectives for sales volume, product mix, and gross margin. You will support distributors and their sales representatives in driving sell-through performance, ensuring the achievement of volume, product mix, channel, and area targets. You will leverage the Goodyear Trade CRM framework to create a differentiated customer experience that enhances the Goodyear Customer Care approach, strengthening customer loyalty and increasing Goodyear's Share of Mind, Share of Heart, and ultimately, Share of Soul. You will implement retail programs and take direct responsibility for key Goodyear Autocare (GYAC) channels, driving improvements in network footprint, product mix, and outlet productivity. You will plan, deploy, and execute marketing and trade activities to maximize sales performance and brand presence within your assigned area. You will collaborate with Goodyear's Supply Chain team and distributors to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) product availability by managing monthly rolling forecasts, responding to ad hoc demand, and improving Inventory Sales Forecast (ISF) and Sales Forecast Accuracy (SFA). You will work directly with selected dealers to manage and fulfill orders for Ultra High Performance (UHP) products sourced from Europe and the United States. You will develop the capabilities of distributors' sales teams through coaching, training, and ongoing performance support to strengthen sales execution. You will identify and pursue growth opportunities across your assigned region by uncovering market white spaces, including Product Business Unit (PBU) opportunities, tire size gaps, geographic expansion, channel development, and key customer acquisition. What We're Looking For You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. You have at least 3 years of experience in a sales role. You have at least 1 year of managerial or people leadership experience. You have experience working in an international or multinational business environment, which is an advantage. You have strong sales and negotiation skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. You have a good command of written and spoken English.
