Job Description The Assistant Director of Custodial Services supports the Director in managing day-to-day custodial operations across educational facilities. This leadership role helps ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained environments by supervising custodial supervisors and frontline staff, maintaining quality standards, managing supply inventories, and supporting staff development and performance improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily custodial operations and assign team members to specific areas of responsibility. Ensure proper shift coverage and service delivery across campus facilities. Perform routine facility inspections and maintain quality control programs. Document deficiencies, track follow-up actions, and support performance improvement. Monitor supply inventory and submit daily requisitions to purchasing by deadline. Ensure equipment and supply rooms are properly organized and restocked. Coach, train, and support team members in performance, safety, and service standards. Identify team members needing additional training and escalate to the Director. Assist with supervisor job evaluations and performance documentation. Complete payroll records accurately and on schedule. Support special projects and perform duties assigned by the Director. Comply with all HHS policies, procedures, and required training.
