Responsibilities
Analyze quality performance indicators, including PPM, Scrap, Rework, First Pass Yield (FPY), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and Customer Complaints, to identify trends and implement improvement actions. Investigate quality issues and determine root causes using problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto Analysis, and DMAIC. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Use Minitab, Power BI, and other statistical analysis tools to evaluate process performance and support data-driven decision-making. Develop, maintain, and update Process Control Plans and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) documentation. Develop and implement quality systems and manufacturing processes for new products, programs, and projects. Manage corrective action activities related to customer complaints, calibration systems, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), inspections, and testing activities. Support and facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance. Design and implement operational quality metrics to support the daily effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). Resolve manufacturing and product quality issues by implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain measurement systems that meet customer requirements and support continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare, review, and verify engineering and quality specifications to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify root causes of defects and implement sustainable corrective actions. Supervise Quality Auditors assigned to production lines and final packaging operations. Conduct process audits and analyze manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Develop and implement incoming inspection procedures to ensure material quality. Initiate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) as required and ensure timely follow-up through successful closure. Manage nonconforming materials through the Material Review Board (MRB) process, including containment, disposition, and documentation. Coordinate containment activities and disposition of nonconforming materials to minimize production impact. Track process deviations and validate the implementation of engineering and process changes. Train production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality procedures. Participate in Continuous Improvement projects focused on reducing waste, defects, process variation, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). Document inspection results, audit findings, corrective actions, and quality improvement activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality or Process Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and manufacturing quality processes.
Experience
with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action methodologies. Proficiency in Minitab, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and other data analysis tools.
Experience
managing customer complaints and implementing corrective actions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. English proficiency: 80–90% (Intermediate to Advanced).
