Job Description You will support and implement overall Rockwell Strategic Sourcing strategy. Achieve year-on-year improvements by building local, supply chain projects. Collaborate with partners to agree on our requirements and implement sourcing and commodity strategies. You will also develop Solutions & Services commodity strategy and work with procurement team and project teams to provide project life cycle engagement on 3rd Party materials and services supply for project purpose. Responsibilities
Commodity Management Contribute to and build sourcing strategies on assigned commodities with regional commodity leads. Collaborate with partners (global Sourcing team, Engineering, Operations, Departments, and Quality) in building these strategies. Participate and support Global Commodity Leads in managing global commodities. Develop Services and Solutions Commodity strategy and manage regional commodities in Asia Pacific Support regional Services & Solutions Commodity leads to build commodity tactics in the region. Source and qualify new suppliers especially in Best-Cost-Country (BCC) following Rockwell commodities strategy in SEA Supplier Base. Guide in quality, delivery and cost to meet SSO and business targets and programs. Stay informed about design, product and market requirements from Departments and in turn share market and suppliers' developments. Supplier Management and Development You will Assess suppliers' technical competencies and capabilities – match suppliers' strength to Rockwell technical and quality requirements and influence BU/Engineering on suppliers' selection. Understand and establish supply chain requirements e.g. production vs delivery lotsize, production vs delivery leadtime) with suppliers to meet Rockwell operational requirements. Continuous Improvements You will review supply base ; source new and potential suppliers specifically in BCC (SEA) to support the our requirements. Procedures include Standards of Business Conduct and Intellectual Property. They also include Control Environment and Information Protection. Additionally, they cover ISO 9000 and 14000, and government regulations, such as health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Furthermore, Rockwell Automation publishes functional policies on its information network, which are included. Functional Broad knowledge and exposure in managing direct material commodities (e.g. machined parts, Plastic injection molding, cable assemblies, Metal Fab / Stamping, Casting, Bus bar, Packaging). You Have well-rounded knowledge in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing and operational procurement. The Essentials - You Will Have: Engineering degree, exposure on Supplier Quality Engineering will have an added advantage. 1+ years of experience in engineering to order business.
Experience
in project management required. Travel: up to 30~50% (domestic SEA and regional Asia-Pacific) The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Experienced in sourcing preferably in both multi-site management responsibility and multi-commodity responsibility. Sourcing experience within SEA.
