Job Description As a Software Developer on the Fleet Core team within OTTO by Rockwell Automation, you will help develop, test, maintain OTTO Fleet Manager software used by customers to operate autonomous vehicle fleets. You will work with software developers, product partners, and other engineering teams to turn requirements into practical, reliable software solutions across the product lifecycle. Responsibilities

Develop reliable software features for OTTO Fleet Manager and related applications that help customers operate autonomous vehicle fleets. Translate product and technical requirements into practical, maintainable software solutions through iterative development. Contribute to product priorities such as data-backed workflows, integrations, supportability improvements, and test automation. Collaborate with software developers, product partners, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-focused features and improvements. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities while taking ownership of assigned work and communicating progress. The Essentials : You will Have: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience. Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. The Preferred: You might also have: Typically requires minimum of 5 years of related experience. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of relevant software development experience.

Experience

with object-oriented programming with C++ or Python.

Experience

with C#.

Experience

developing software that works with APIs, services, integrations, databases, or other data-backed workflows. Familiarity with common software development tools and workflows, including source control, scripting, issue tracking, documentation, and code review.

Experience

presenting detailed technical documentation to provide practical, iterative solutions.

Experience

with robotics, fleet management, industrial automation, or related operational software.

Experience

with containerized applications, Linux environments, or deployment workflows.

Experience

with databases, object-relational mapping, data integration, or data administration.

Experience

with observability, analytics, or data presentation tools.

Experience

with software build systems, package management, or application configuration.
