The Principal I, IT Business Systems Analysis (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex business systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with strategic business goals. Specifics include: • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale IT systems that meet business objectives and are scalable for growth • Act as the primary point of contact for business and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment • Provide technical leadership and guidance to analysts and other project team members • Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and align with long-term business strategies • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems • Lead high-impact IT systems analysis projects with significant business implications • Make high-level decisions related to IT system design and architecture, ensuring systems are designed to meet future business needs • Provide input on business strategy and align IT solutions with business goals. Key Responsibilities: Provides end‑to‑end functional support and coordination across Alcon’s pricing and quoting technology landscape. Supports integrated pricing, quoting, and agreement execution processes to ensure alignment, continuity, and quality for global commercial operations. Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: Support E2E pricing and quoting scenarios across Salesforce CPQ and downstream systems, including new agreements, agreement changes, product additions, pricing updates, and end‑dating logic. Support functional coordination across Salesforce CPQ, Optivision, SAP Vistex, Icertis, MuleSoft, and related integrations. Partner with business and technical teams to clarify requirements, expected system behavior, and integration scenarios. Support pricing data, pricebook maintenance, and correction activities, including basic data validation and mapping support. Contribute to end‑to‑end testing and UAT support by assisting with test scenario definition, execution support, and issue triage using standard tools. Provide day‑to‑day functional support across platform teams by tracking issues, dependencies, and follow‑ups, and escalating risks as needed.
