About the opportunity In this role, you contribute to biotechnological production processes within the Protein Fermentation area, supporting the manufacturing of high-quality products. Work closely with experienced colleagues to execute production and laboratory-related tasks, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and internal procedures. This position offers the opportunity to build technical expertise in bioprocessing while working in a structured, team-oriented environment and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your tasks include Perform production activities, including large-scale and small-scale processes, sampling, and basic microbiological analyses in accordance with SOPs and GMP guidelines Prepare, clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment and production areas before and after operations Monitor production processes and ensure accurate documentation in batch records, logs, and registers Ensure availability of materials such as reagents and consumables to support uninterrupted production Conduct routine equipment checks, basic calibrations, and report technical issues Contribute technical knowledge within the Protein Fermentation area and support continuous improvement initiatives Organize tasks independently, follow defined priorities, and communicate progress to the supervisor Your profile Technical secondary education or Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field Initial experience (0–2 years) in a laboratory, GMP, or production environment is an advantage Basic understanding of microbiological or bioprocessing techniques is preferred Comfortable working with documentation (e.g., SOPs, batch records) and following structured procedures Fluent Polish and intermediate English (ability to read and document technical information) Willingness to work in a shift system (morning and afternoon) with occasional night and weekend work Flexibility to work across QIAGEN sites in Gdynia and Gdańsk (mostly Gdynia) What we offer Private medical care Multisport card Training and development programs Flexible benefits platform Language classes Friendly atmosphere Casual dress code Employee Assistance Program and internal QIAGEN communities Our people are the heartbeat of everything we do.
