Job Description Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise security solutions with a focus on Zscaler platforms, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). This role will be instrumental in advancing Zero Trust architecture, securing cloud and hybrid environments, and automating security controls through scalable engineering practices. Responsibilities
Identity & Access Management (IAM) Design and manage identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Implement and maintain: Conditional Access policies Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Privileged Identity Management (PIM) Enforce least-privilege access and identity governance Zscaler & Secure Access Deploy and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Configure: Secure web gateway policies Cloud firewall rules Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) Integrate Zscaler with Entra ID for identity-driven access Troubleshoot user access, traffic routing, and policy enforcement issues Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) & Automation Design, deploy, and manage security infrastructure using Terraform Develop reusable Terraform modules for: Identity configurations (Entra ID integrations, access policies) Network security controls (Zscaler configurations where applicable) Cloud security resources (Azure preferred) Implement version-controlled infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline integration Automate security provisioning, policy deployment, and compliance checks Partner with platform and DevOps teams to embed security into pipelines Network & Cloud Security Support Zero Trust architecture initiatives across identity, endpoints, and networks Secure Azure and hybrid environments Collaborate on network controls including proxies, DNS, and segmentation Monitor and improve security posture across cloud and enterprise systems Required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–7+ years of experience in security engineering or related roles Technical
Experience
Hands-on experience with: Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Strong understanding of: Identity and Access Management (IAM) Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, proxies, VPNs) Zero Trust security architecture
Experience
with authentication protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect Scripting or automation experience: PowerShell, Python, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Defender suite (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud) SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) CASB / SSE platforms
Experience
integrating Terraform with cloud and security tooling Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.) Relevant certifications: Microsoft (SC-300, AZ-500, SC-200) Terraform Associate Zscaler certifications CISSP, CISM (optional) Key Competencies Scale security through automation Collaboration with engineering, network, and DevOps teams With both technical and business stakeholders
