Remote: You will be able to work from your home location within the United States, preferably within Eastern U.S states. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Fleet Manager - USA will be a member of fast-paced Global Procurement organization, responsible for enabling procurement excellence through improvements around business process and systems including change management and communications. You will provide detailed analysis to support critical activities and special projects as well as develop tools and templates to streamline procurement initiatives. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of procurement systems and processes like Ariba Procure-To-Pay (R2P/P2P) Supports implementation, adoption, and maintenance of Procurement systems by: Promoting systems and processes with internal stakeholders to drive adoption Leading project implementations, managing project plans, managing communications to stakeholders, and reporting to Business and IT leadership Providing timely support to issues/questions raised by internal/external users with regards to policies, processes, and systems Supporting end user training Leads and supports process efficiency and effectiveness initiatives for operational procurement processes Performs detailed analyses supporting critical procurement activities, organization initiatives, and special projects Oversees spend management, spend analytics, and Source to Pay (S2P) tools, such as Ariba R2P/P2P Builds process flows, manage template libraries, and documentations within central repository Gathers and reports key system metrics and highlight improvement opportunities Collaborates with IT to ensure system uptime and other needed support Efficiently resolves issues and proactively react to minimize any risk potential Supports Procurement Excellence and IT team to resolve process, system, and transactional exceptions Responsible for Change Management and Procurement Excellence Team Communications Understands external and internal control requirements, ensures compliance through effective monitoring and root cause analysis Responsible for driving the FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards. SUPERVISION: None EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Management, MIS, or any quantitative field EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 5-8 year's experience in Implementing and supporting End-to-End Procurement Process/Solutions preferably Ariba R2P/P2P Experience in Managing/Leading project implementation following SDLC methodology is preferable Expert-level user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project) Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations Ability to act as subject matter expert and provide training, troubleshooting, and other support for software applications managed by business unit (i.e., SAP Ariba, SAP ECC etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience Effective organizational and leadership skills; use a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed ADDENDUM: (Added July 2026) Fleet Manager – USA The Fleet Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company Car fleet in Fresenius Medical Care’s (FME) critical US market ensuring optimal policy, operations and supply for fleet. Main Duties Owns and manages the company’s fleet operations in the US comprising over 1,300 vehicles, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective operation. Supports the development and implementation of the US fleet strategy, aligning local operational requirements with global fleet objectives and business priorities. Together with FME’s 3rd party Fleet Management Company, manages the full vehicle lifecycle, including vehicle selection, acquisition, allocation, replacement and disposal, ensuring operational efficiency and value throughout the asset lifecycle. Ensures business continuity by identifying operational risks, implementing preventative measures and developing contingency plans to minimize disruption. Acts as the primary escalation point for fleet-related issues raised by employees, suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication. Maximizes the use of systems and operational data to improve fleet utilization, driver behavior, compliance, reporting accuracy and operational performance. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, improve driver experience and reduce fleet costs. Ensures accounting procedures adhered to including invoice review and payment, cost center accuracy and supports any restructuring activities. Compliance, Risk & Driver Management Ensures the fleet remains fully compliant with all applicable legal, regulatory and company requirements. Develops, implements and governs local fleet policy in consistent with Global Fleet Policy, ensuring consistent application, regulatory compliance and enforcement. Ensures robust processes are in place for driver license verification, vehicle authorization and ongoing driver compliance. Partners with business stakeholders to promote safe driving, fulfil duty of care obligations, identify driver training needs and support initiatives to reduce fleet risk. Oversees accident and incident management processes, ensuring claims are managed effectively, root causes identified and corrective actions implemented. Financial & Commercial Management Develops, monitors and analyses fleet operating costs, providing detailed financial reporting, KPI analysis, savings calculations and recommendations to stakeholders. Leads fleet budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial guidance and cost planning support during annual budget cycles. Manages fleet-related financial administration, including purchase orders, invoice approvals, supplier account reconciliations and accurate cost allocation. Reviews vehicle eligibility, driver entitlement and fleet utilization to optimize vehicle allocation, rightsizing and total cost of ownership. Supplier & Procurement Management Develops and maintains strong working relationships with fleet management companies, OEMs and other suppliers, monitoring service delivery, contractual performance and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Participates in supplier business reviews in collaboration with Procurement and business stakeholders, ensuring supplier performance meets agreed service levels. Supports the Global Category Leader and business leaders in the development and execution of fleet category strategies and procurement initiatives. Sustainability Develops and CO2 emissions reduction initiatives, supporting the transition to lower emitting and electric vehicles through infrastructure planning, stakeholder engagement and alignment with the organisation’s sustainability objectives. Develops fleet emissions performance dashboards and reports and analytics including current and future scenario modelling. Stakeholder Management & Governance Builds effective working relationships with Procurement, HR, Legal, Health & Safety and business leaders to ensure fleet services support business objectives. Provides subject matter expertise and advice to managers and employees on fleet policies, processes and best practice. Demonstrates the highest ethical standards and ensures company policies, procedures and governance requirements are consistently applied. Performance Indicators Compliance: with all legal, regulatory & FME requirements. Financial: operating costs within budget, achieving agreed annual cost savings Supplier Performance: supplier service levels meet or exceed agreed KPIs through contract management, regular performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Driver Safety: Reduce preventable accidents and fleet-related incidents year-on-year through effective policy governance, driver engagement, and risk management programs. Fleet Optimization & Sustainability: Deliver on fleet optimization objectives, including vehicle rightsizing, increased electric vehicle adoption, improved fleet utilization, and reductions in fleet carbon emissions.
