OVERVIEW: Explores and manipulates data, builds models, and employs other statistical methods to conduct advanced analysis to understand/predict relationships between variables and provide data driven insights to guide strategic business decisions. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently conduct exploratory statistics, mine and profile data to gain insights for use in advance statistical and quantitative analytics. Compile and combine data from multiple datasets into one or more datasets for analysis with common programming languages. Modify data warehouse as necessary; document and store approved code. Use common programming languages to conduct intermediate data manipulation and analysis with guidance from more senior team members. Track and report performance of portfolios/ campaigns. Identify deviations from expectations and explain variances. Conduct intermediate quantitative analysis to understand and quantify business problems leveraging statistical methods. Develop simple, but compelling visualizations to explore data. Provide guidance to less experienced analysts. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/ or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years related experience Familiarity with a common programming language
