Visualization Senior Analyst Primary Purpose of the Position: The IT Visualization Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering intuitive, scalable, and business-driven data visualizations for manufacturing operations. This role bridges the gap between industrial data (OT systems, IoT, UNS) and business decision-making, transforming complex data streams into actionable dashboards, KPIs, alerts, and visual insights. The specialist works closely with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and leadership) to define requirements, design user-centric visual experiences, and ensure consistent and effective communication of manufacturing performance. Visualization Design & Development: Design and build dashboards, reports, and widgets using tools such as Grafana, Power BI, or similar platforms Develop real-time and historical visualizations for: Production KPIs (OEE, throughput, downtime) Quality metrics (scrap, defects, yield) Maintenance insights (MTBF, MTTR, predictive alerts) Energy and sustainability metrics Alerts & Monitoring: actionable, contexttual, and aligned with operational workflow Create reusable visualization templates and standards across plants
Requirements
Gathering & UX Design: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into: * User stories, Wireframes, and Dashboard layouts Conduct workshops with plant personnel (operators, supervisors, engineers) Ensure dashboards are role-based (operator vs supervisor vs executive views) Data Interpretation & Contextualization: Work with IT/OT teams to understand: * Data models (UNS, MQTT topics, time-series data) * Data quality and availability Translate raw industrial data into meaningful KPIs and business insights Define or, if already defined, apply calculation logic for KPIs (e.g., OEE components, downtime classification) Standardization & Governance: Apply visualization standards: * Naming conventions * Color schemes (e.g., ISA-101 or company standards) * KPI definitions Promote consistency across dashboards and sites Maintain documentation for dashboards and metrics Continuous Improvement: Analyze dashboard usage and user feedback Optimize performance and usability of visualizations Introduce new visualization techniques (drill-down, root cause views, etc.) Experience, Knowledge and Skill: 3+ years of experience in: Data visualization, Business Intelligence, and Data analysis Work experience of projects involving dashboards or data analysis Preferred exposure (not required): Manufacturing or industrial environments, Visualization tools (Grafana, Power BI, Tableau), and Basic SQL or data querying Some knowledge about React (MUI X or similar), Node.js knowledge Technical Skills (Foundational) Familiarity with: Charts and dashboard design, Excel or similar tools for data analysis Analytical Skills ·Understand Unified Name Space (UNS) principles and concepts
