Responsibilities
Assist qualified engineers with the repair and refurbishment of lift systems Support fault finding and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components Carry out basic repair tasks under supervision, including parts replacement and adjustments Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and industry safety standards Maintain accurate records of work carried out Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and occasionally customers Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations at all times Training & Development Structured on-the-job training with experienced engineers Opportunity to work towards industry-recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering) Progressive development into a fully qualified Lift Repairs Engineer role
Requirements
Essential: Strong interest in mechanical and/or electrical engineering Willingness to learn and develop new skills Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Basic IT and communication skills Full UK driving licence (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces Desirable: Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) Previous experience in engineering, maintenance, or construction environments Basic understanding of tools and equipment Personal Attributes Reliable and punctual Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team player with a proactive approach Safety-conscious mindset Flexible and adaptable Salary &
