Position Summary: Pull appropriate blueprint and inspection sheet to check liners and inserts, inspect liners for any defects. Principle

Duties

(includes, but is not limited to): Pull the appropriate blueprint and inspection sheet to check liners and inserts with precision measuring instruments for verification of blueprint compliance. Inspect liners and inserts visually for any defects in accordance with the inspection procedures. Place the appropriate marking on the liners and inserts according to the inspection procedures. Fill out the appropriate inspection paperwork in accordance with the inspection procedures. Obtain deviations to print specifications when deemed appropriate. Keep quality supervision and manufacturing management informed on all products with quality problems. When required run liner through rollers according to inspection procedures. When required verify completeness of the oven cycles from oven cycle charts and cut samples of liner for testing in accordance with the inspection procedures. Perform in house random audits of manufacturing quality procedures and the quality of products in finished goods. Dispose of non-conforming liners and inserts according to the inspection procedures. Confirm passage of lab test on liner samples before liner placement into stock. Essential

Qualifications

Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift. Blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Ability to read precision measuring instruments not limited to, but including tape measure, o.d. tape measure, micrometres, scissor callipers. Ability to perform material handling functions using hand trucks, carts, and lift trucks within the work area and the department.
