Under the direction of management, exercises responsibility for execution of Engineering strategies and tactical plans at (HIAMS)AM sites. This position develops priorities and objectives in cooperation with each site management team and oversees implementation. Position serves as a corporate resource to all Engineering staff and management teams at all sites. This position exercises independent judgment routinely and operates within established guidelines.
Essential Functions
Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by local management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific (HIAMS)AM site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company): Under direct supervision plans, coordinates, and implements processes in a specific area or function by performing any combination of or all essential duties and responsibilities assigned. Coordinates, evaluates, and improves methods while emphasizing the implementation of safety, quality, efficiency, process, costing, and equipment improvements and assists in troubleshooting of area specific technology, equipment and processes. Generates and summarizes data to support all findings and countermeasure proposals and reads schematics. Analyzes indicated and calculated results in relation to specifications and improvement objectives, and modifies or adjusts as needed. Confers with appropriate departments to ensure efficient and effective review and implementation for completed job tasks. Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Uses technical knowledge and excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide direction as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner. Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or Associates Degree preferred.
Experience

Working Conditions
Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work 40 – 60 hours per week, including weekends and holiday work. Overhead work and working at heights when necessary. Travel: Minimal domestic travel may be required as needed. Work Environment: Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas.
