Overview The Student Recruitment & Field Marketing Specialist plays a key role in attracting prospective students to the health sciences college by combining territory‑based outreach, relationship building, and field‑driven marketing initiatives. This position develops and implements in‑person recruitment strategies, represents the institution across designated regions of Southeastern Virginia, and leverages targeted marketing tactics—including events, partnerships, and social media—to grow applications and enrollment. Represents Riverside College of Health Careers in various community forums. Develops and implements a field-marketing plan in collaboration with digital recruitment efforts. Generates leads and establishes solid rapport with prospective students, families, counselors, and others. Responsible for recruitment initiatives; marketing presentations, recruitment fairs, counselor visits, and high school relations; event coordination such as open houses, high school campus visits, health science career club, and career days; RH job shadowing program; and other special projects as assigned. Assists with alumni relations events and projects. Promotes a positive public image of the college while participating in various committees and other community related events. What you will do Territory Management & Field Recruitment: Manage a defined recruitment territory to increase awareness of health sciences programs and drive inquiries, applications, and enrollments. Conduct school visits, career fairs, community outreach events, and information sessions to promote the college's academic offerings. Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, healthcare organizations, community partners, and academic advisors in the region. Travel in‑state (primarily Southeastern VA) as needed to support territory recruitment initiatives. Maintains regular contact and relationships with high school guidance counselors, GHSA, and CTE Advisory Committee members. Field Marketing & Event Execution: Organize and facilitate monthly recruiting events (information sessions, presentations, or field outreach), tailoring efforts to local audiences and market needs. Implement field marketing campaigns aligned with institutional enrollment goals, including brand awareness strategies for health programs. Serve as an on‑site brand ambassador during events, ensuring consistent messaging about program quality, admissions processes, and career outcomes. Student Advising & Recruitment Support: Provide prospective students and families with accurate information about admissions, financial aid, program options, prerequisites, and career paths. Conduct group presentations and one‑on‑one advising sessions to support the decision‑making process for students pursuing health science fields. Follow up systematically with prospective students through email, phone, text, and social media. Marketing Collaboration & Content Support: Support development of field‑ready marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations, consistent with digital content. Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialist and health system marketing team to utilize social media and digital platforms to expand reach, enhance visibility of programs, and engage prospective student pipelines. Assist in maintaining up‑to‑date recruitment webpages and content relevant to health sciences programs. Recruitment Strategy & Reporting: Participate in annual planning for recruitment efforts and territory strategy using institution‑generated data and analytics. Generate prospective student reports, assess recruitment trends, and identify growth opportunities in target regions. Stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in admissions, outreach, and field‑based marketing. Demonstrates leadership and active promotion of customer service to students, faculty and staff, Demonstrates responsiveness and flexibility to meet faculty and staff expectations. Consistently exceeds customer expectations by anticipating their needs, implementing appropriate actions, initiating service recovery as needed to enhance the customer's experience. Consistently utilizes appropriate tone and body language while interacting with customers and co-workers in writing and in person.

Skills and Abilities
At least 1–2 years of experience in student recruitment, outreach, field marketing, sales, or related roles. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences. Ability to travel (Southeastern VA) regularly and work evenings/weekends as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with external partners. Self‑motivated, energetic, and able to manage independent territory‑based work. Excellent organizational and event‑coordination abilities. Comfort using social media and communication tools for recruitment engagement.
