FACULTY POSITION emlyon business school invites applications for a full-time faculty position in accounting, open at the Professor of Practice level (a teaching-oriented track, with no obligation to hold a PhD), to begin in September 2027. We are looking to recruit a candidate with a strong pedagogical profile, experienced in action learning, experiential education, and real-world project-based teaching. This position is part of emlyon’s broader strategic ambition to combine academic excellence with impactful, hands-on learning that is deeply connected to the business world and societal challenges. YOUR ROLE AT EMLYON The selected candidate will join the Department of Accounting and Corporate Finance, contributing to: The pedagogical coordination of courses and, possibly, of programs, The development and delivery of innovative, action-based learning experiences, closely tied to the professional ecosystem (corporates, startups, NGOs, etc.), If applicable, depending on the candidate's profile, research in their area of expertise. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate (BBA), graduate (Programme Grande École), master's level programs, and executive education programs (continuous education). The annual teaching load will not exceed 350 hours, plus 150 hours of tutoring (thesis supervision and defenses). Most courses will be taught on the Lyon campus, with possible sessions on other emlyon campuses in France or internationally. In addition, and depending on his/her profile, the selected candidate may choose to be affiliated with an emlyon Research Centre or Institute of their choice. The candidate will be expected to contribute to and will be regularly evaluated based on two activities: (1) teaching and student supervision, (2) institutional service (e.g., administration, service in committees, representation of the school in the media and events).
