Material Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Experienced or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Material Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Experienced or Lead) to join our team developing estimates for Air Dominance Proprietary programs in Hazelwood, MO or Missouri Berkeley, Missouri. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 3 and Level 4 Specialists to find the best fit for the position. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work. The ideal candidate will combine strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. Position

Responsibilities

Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals Develops material estimating and pricing methods and pricing models Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.) Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery Basic

Qualifications

(Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's Degree or higher 3+ years of experience in a business-related role (finance, contracts, accounting, etc.) 3+ years of experience in developing estimates 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, etc

Preferred Qualifications

(Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

Experience

using data analysis to drive decision making

Experience

leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion

Experience

presenting to senior leadership

Experience
