Job Description Director of Custodial Service Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 (Based on Experience) Location: Dallas College Number of Positions: 3 The Director of Custodial Services is responsible for leading all custodial operations across educational campuses within a defined region. This senior role ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction through the effective supervision of custodial managers, supervisors, and frontline team members. The Director drives operational excellence, staff development, client relations, and budget performance, while maintaining a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Direct and oversee custodial operations across multiple campuses and accounts. Lead, coach, and develop site-level managers and supervisors to drive performance and consistency. Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), cleanliness standards, and customer expectations. Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and control labor and supply costs. Conduct regular site visits to assess service delivery, safety compliance, and staff engagement. Maintain strong relationships with school administrators and client stakeholders. Implement and track quality assurance and inspection programs. Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of custodial personnel. Recommend and oversee the implementation of operational improvements and process efficiencies. Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and company policies. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. 5–7 years of multi-site or regional custodial leadership experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, and operational performance. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and custodial operations software (e.g., inspection tools, timekeeping). Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and reliable transportation. BSCAI Certified Building Services Executive (CBSE) preferred. Not Required But a Big Plus

Experience

working in a school or campus environment Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish
