About the Role As a Customer Payments Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments. Based in our Lisbon office, you’ll work in a dynamic environment that blends finance, customer service, and process automation. This position offers exposure to global stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a transforming environment. What You Will Do Payment Allocation: Apply and allocate incoming payments to customer accounts accurately and promptly. Transaction Management: Classify, code, and record financial transactions; post entries to customer accounts and general ledger. Process Automation: Maintain and support touchless payment process automation for efficiency. Compliance & Quality: Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with Essity policies, accounting standards, and legal regulations. Audit Support: Assist in resolving external and internal audit findings and maintain accurate documentation. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and escalate issues if necessary. Continuous Improvement: Provide input on inefficiencies and contribute to solutions within a matrix organization. Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent. Experience in accounting or a similar role, ideally with customer service exposure. Familiarity with SAP (R/3 and S/4), EBS Workbench, and Office 365. Strong communication and collaboration skills, adaptable to change, and proactive in problem-solving. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. - All resumes should be submitted in English.
