Graduated from an accredited U.S. Nursing program with an RN license in good standing with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical experience in a related medical/clinical setting or in a public school system. Job
Duties
80% - Patient Care: Provide appropriate assessment and treatment of medical problems in the residential program. Securely store and administer camper's prescribed medications. Maintain appropriate universal precautions at all times in handling patient specimens and any potentially contaminated materials. Strive for personal excellence in the specific skills and knowledge required for professional expertise. Responsible for professional, first-aid medical treatment of students. Responsible for early detection of physical problems and health evaluations. Maintains clinical records. Communicate with staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students. 10% - Other Clinical Nursing
Responsibilities
Review health evaluation forms of entering students for completeness. Abide by OSHA Standards to ensure continued compliance with the mandated BBP regulations. 5% - Patient
Education
Provide pertinent education for students’ current condition and general health concerns in a manner that facilitates understanding. 5% - Interpersonal/Team

Supports a collaborative, professional work environment. When any kind of unforeseen treatment is given, communicate with the parents about what happened and what they did to treat their child.
