Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Prior experience as a theatrical Production Manager. Considerable knowledge of educational theatre, production management, and technical theatre. Working knowledge of safety standards, maintenance, and upgrade of theater equipment Demonstrated skills in budgeting, organization, attention-to-detail, analyzing situations and resolving conflicts. Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects and protocols of stage productions and schedules, coordinate with various teams, coordinate rehearsals, and other responsibilities involved in the day-to-day running of theatre and dance productions and post-show.
Experience
in a professional stage and production management environment. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct the work of others to ensure the smooth running of a production. Demonstrated ability to perform duties and responsibilities under strict time constraints and to work a highly flexible work schedule to accommodate department production schedule. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a diverse population of faculty, staff, students, visitors, volunteers and other internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Fine Arts from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
with state-of-the art production equipment and technology (lighting, sound, construction).
Experience
with AutoCad and Vectorworks.
Experience

Duties
65% - Oversight of Production, Personnel and Facilities Manage guest performer engagements and independent contractor arrangements; facilitate communication between production staff and guest performers and/or independent contractors; draft and execute guest performer and independent contractor agreements; arrange accommodations for guest artists and independent contractors working on productions. 15% - Procurement / Vendor Management Coordinate with production team to determine production purchase needs; procure goods and services for productions and guest performances; facilitate vendor solicitation, registration, communication, and resolution. 10% - Guest Performer Arrangements Manage guest performer engagements and independent contractor arrangements; facilitate communication between production staff and guest performers and/or independent contractors; draft and execute guest performer and independent contractor agreements; arrange accommodations for guest artists and independent contractors working on productions. 10% - Administration Establish and monitor production budgets in collaboration with the Department Chair; project expenditures for overall season and individual productions; process and track expenditures for all technical aspects of productions; secure performance rights and scripts in advance of productions.
