Location SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110 Position Summary The Albanus Lab in the Department of Neurology is seeking motivated applicants to join as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead projects integrating multi-omics (single-cell RNA- and ATAC-seq, spatial transcriptomics) and genetics to understand the biology of human aging, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases and personalized medicine. Responsibilities

Trains under the supervision of a faculty mentor including (but not limited to): Design and run functional genomic pipelines, produce results, and communicate with the group members. Engage critically with the literature to understand the molecular biology of aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Engage in the development and testing/validation of new algorithms and their applications to transcriptomic, epigenomic, genetic, and proteomic data. Perform fully reproducible computational analyses. Assist the team in the manuscript preparation of the research findings. Support the principal investigator to fulfill the research objectives of their funded projects. Assist the principal investigator in generating preliminary results for grant funding proposals. Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals. Pursue independent funding opportunities (K awards, fellowships, etc.). Present research at conferences and contribute to grant applications. Mentor junior team members. Contribute to the overall research goals and objectives of the team.
Working Conditions
This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Salary Range: Base pay is commensurate with experience.
