The Reliability Engineer role is based in Rochester, New York (onsite role). Where You'll Make a Difference Lead and support site reliability initiatives focused on improving Total Effective Equipment Performance (TEEP) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Analyze equipment performance and reliability data to identify recurring equipment issues, eliminate failures, and improve asset reliability. Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and implement corrective actions to drive defect elimination. Manage and optimize preventive maintenance programs, including Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO) assessments and maintenance strategy improvements. Serve as owner of the site's Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (MIQA) Program, ensuring compliance with regional, local, and company requirements. Manage equipment testing, inspection and mechanical integrity activities to support safe and reliable operations. Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations and Capital Project teams to design for reliability and maintainability using established reliability principles and methodologies. Lead critical spare parts assessments and inventory optimization efforts to improve equipment uptime and maintenance effectiveness. Serve as an engineering resource to Maintenance and Operations teams while actively supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) activities. What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 2 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, manufacturing technology, or industrial operations.

Experience

applying reliability methodologies including Root Cause Failure Analysis, Preventive Maintenance Optimization, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or predictive maintenance techniques. Knowledge of equipment failure modes, reliability analysis and asset performance improvement strategies.

Experience

working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Plant Maintenance. Understanding of Mechanical Integrity programs, inspection practices and reliability-centered maintenance principles. Ability to analyze operational and maintenance data and translate findings into actionable reliability improvements. Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions. Commitment to safety, quality, food safety, environmental compliance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs. How Would You Stand Out?

Experience

supporting reliability programs within food, ingredients, chemical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Experience

adding production equipment to SAP, including functional locations and bill of material.

Experience

setting up preventative/predictive maintenance plans with task lists in SAP.

Experience
