Definition and editing of technical specifications, clarification of project specifications with Sales and Marketing, and coordination with Production, Procurement, and Suppliers. Supporting the Quality department in identifying problems and finding solutions both during the development phase and after sales. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (University not mandatory)

Experience

At least 5 years in the role of design engineer in similar sectors (electric motors, air conditioning, refrigeration, household appliances, automotive) or mechanical sector. Excellent design skills with 3D systems (preferably Creo and/or SolidWorks) and application modules (part design, assembly design, general shape design, sheet-metal design, drafting)

Experience

in designing components in: Sheet metal (stamped/folded) mandatory Plastic material (injection/blow molding/thermoforming) Die-cast aluminum components Forged components + mechanical machining (typically brass) Knowledge of the related production processes Knowledge of: Stage & Gate product development processes DFMEA methodologies, Risk Analysis Organizational skills: Responsibility for managing project schedule and costs of the technical solutions adopted Basic knowledge of electrical engineering Good knowledge of English Use of PLM management system Proficient in basic MS Office software Problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, predisposition to teamwork. Preferable: Application of motor and drive components and related control. Preferable: Knowledge of electric motors. Preferable: Knowledge of molds, production cost evaluation, mold cost estimation.
