What a Business Development Analyst does at Visa: We are seeking a commercially driven and client-facing professional who is passionate about building relationships, originating business opportunities, and supporting revenue growth. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with clients, identifying new opportunities, influencing commercial outcomes, and working alongside senior business leaders to win new business and grow strategic partnerships. As a Business Development Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both strategic planning and business development initiatives. You will work closely with the Head of Clients, Head of Strategy & Business Planning, and the Business Development team to drive market growth, optimize performance, and deliver impactful client engagements. Client & Business Development Identify, pursue and support new business opportunities across financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, and ecosystem partners. Develop and manage client pipelines, helping drive revenue growth through both new account acquisition and expansion of existing relationships. Participate in client meetings, commercial discussions, and deal pursuits alongside senior business development leaders, helping advance opportunities from prospecting through execution. Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging payment trends. Support contract negotiations, deal structuring, incentive models, and partnership development activities. Prepare client presentations, business reviews, and executive-ready materials for internal and external stakeholders. Commercial Performance & Insights Maintain and analyze sales pipeline performance, client metrics, and key business indicators to support decision-making. Develop reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into business growth, client performance, and commercial opportunities. Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to monitor business performance and support forecasting activities. Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of client initiatives and business development projects. This is a hybrid position. What you will need: Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, partnership management, account management, merchant acquiring, fintech, payments, or financial services, with a demonstrated track record of supporting commercial growth and client engagement
Experience
engaging with external clients and managing stakeholder relationships. Demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities and support revenue-generating activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for business growth and client success. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. Beyond strategy, you'll help orchestrate the best of Visa—connecting expertise, capabilities, and solutions from across our product, consulting, marketing, data, risk, and innovation teams—to deliver integrated, high-impact outcomes for clients. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, consulting, payments, fintech, acquiring, merchant acceptance, or financial services.
Experience

in merchant acquiring, merchant acceptance, digital commerce, fintech partnerships, payment gateways, or acquiring businesses.
Experience
managing relationships with merchants, financial institutions, fintechs, or large enterprise clients.
