Security Policy Design & Enforcement Design, implement, and manage Azure Policies and platform security configurations Define and enforce security baselines and hardening standards across cloud environments Ensure alignment with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks) Continuously monitor policy compliance and remediate deviations 2. Cloud Security & Platform Hardening Harden cloud environments across networking, compute, storage, and identity layers Implement secure deployment patterns and guardrails using Azure-native capabilities Work on Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and least-privilege access enforcement Secure modern cloud architectures including microservices, containers, and PaaS services 3. Security Tools & Vulnerability Management Deploy and manage security tools including: Vulnerability scannersStatic and dynamic code analysis toolsIDS/IPS systemsFirewalls and endpoint protection solutions Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations Integrate security tools into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines 4. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Support implementation of cloud security governance frameworks Map policies to compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, internal controls) Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies Assist in audits and compliance reporting activities 5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement Collaborate with engineering, platform, DevOps, and security teams Translate security requirements into technical policies and controls Provide guidance and best practices for secure cloud adoption Participate in cross-functional initiatives to strengthen security posture 6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Drive automation of security controls and policy enforcement Monitor emerging threats and continuously improve security posture Contribute to security roadmaps and platform evolution strategies Stay updated on cloud security trends, tools, and best practices
