The department Europe IPC (International Procurement Centre) is responsible for sourcing strategy, market intelligence, and supply chain management for key components and materials across the EMEA region. We provide the critical intelligence and operational framework that safeguards Samsung’s global supply chain and drives executive decision-making at our Global Headquarters (HQ). We are seeking a highly analytical, experienced professional to join our team as a Market Intelligence & Supply Chain Strategy Specialist. Responsibilities
1. Strategic Market Intelligence & Executive Reporting (80%) Macro & Micro Market Research: Conduct deep-dive research and gather intelligence on global and EMEA market trends, competitor movements, technological shifts, regulatory/geopolitical policies, and financial or logistics trends impacting Samsung’s diverse business activities. Executive-Level Reporting: Synthesize complex data into highly sophisticated, reader-centric weekly and ad-hoc intelligence reports. Deliver these insights directly to Samsung’s top-tier leadership at HQ (President, EVP, VP, and Senior Management). Cross-Functional Leverage: Provide critical, time-sensitive intelligence to Europe IPC peers, empowering procurement and sourcing activities with data-driven leverage during high-stake business reviews and supplier negotiations. 2. Supply Chain Management & Operational Oversight (20%) End-to-End SCM Execution: Oversee the core supply chain lifecycle—including processing RFQs, managing purchase orders (POs), issuing sales offers for internal HQ customers, and maintaining high-accuracy master data within the system. Risk Mitigation & Logistics Management: Pre-emptively identify and manage supply chain risks by tracking performance metrics and establishing alternative logistics routes in collaboration with forwarders and suppliers. Supplier & Contract Relations: Maintain robust communication channels with external suppliers; support commercial negotiations, track KPIs (on-time delivery, RTP), and resolve overdue accounts receivable (AR) collections in alignment with Finance. Operational Troubleshooting: Resolve high-priority supply, delivery, or logistics issues through data analysis and targeted supplier engagement. Skills and
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, STEM, or a related discipline from a top-tier, reputable global university.
Experience
3 to 4 years of professional experience in market intelligence, corporate strategy, procurement analysis, supply chain management, or a closely related corporate analyst/consulting role. Language & Communication Excellence: Native-level professional fluency in written and spoken Korean. Exceptional Korean literature, composition, and presentation skills are strictly required to draft high-level, corporate reports tailored for executive leadership at HQ. Professional fluency in English; ability to confidently negotiate, persuade, and influence international stakeholders and HQ counterparts. Analytical & Data Savvy: Commercially astute and up-to-date with global technology and market trends. Advanced proficiency in data synthesis, market analysis, and the MS Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint are essential for executive presentations); proficiency with enterprise ERP systems. Interpersonal Attributes: Proactive, self-initiating, and strategically minded. Comfortable navigating complex corporate matrices, conducting high-level stakeholder alignment, and managing diverse project scopes. Work Authorization & Mobility: Valid EU/German work authorization.
