Regional Credit & Collections Manager - US
Job description
We are looking for a Regional Credit and Collections Manager to support our US region. The position will be working as part of the Credit and Collection Department and will report to the Global Credit & Collection Senior Manager.
Responsibilities
Acts as the main local point of the shareholder’s Credit Department Work closely with Sales to guarantee timely, consistent and transparent credit decisions. Improvement of business performance through strong functional support and input to decision making. Ensure the local Credit control team’s way of working is compliant with the Global Credit Policy and Level of Authority documents. Responsible for a clear communication of the relevant targets and KPI’s with the local credit control team and facilitate that these targets can be met. Key person in driving process changes/improvements and efficiencies across teams and processes in the region Empower the Global Credit Policy in the relevant region and handle all escalations accordingly. Ensure business processes operate effectively to an appropriate level of fiscal compliance. Ensure permanent staffing and availability of the credit control dept. Ensure accurate and timely collection of current and overdue receivables. Monitor and review credit limits in compliance with the Global Credit Policy and make sure these credit limits are communicated with the relevant region. Monitor and advice on the local portfolio’s including the A/R report and communicate pro-active recommendations with ultimate purpose to minimize losses. Deliver continuous improvement by advising on credit risk related processes & services to the organization. Responsible for timely and accurate aging reports and calculation of bad debt reserve.
Qualifications
Determination to respond to tight deadlines. Strong financial analysis capability as well as good problem solving skills. Amenable to work night shift, Manila time. Naturally driven to work with confidence in a complex business environment. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail (including the necessary paperwork) and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Hands-on mentality with the ability to work independently. Strong presence and credibility is desired. Native speaker. Good communicator in English. Inquisitive, pro-active and precise. Service oriented professional who is able to build relationships across cultural boundaries.
Experience
in managing transitions and process standardization.
Experience
in project management is preferred
