Job description
Assist in teaching educational camp programs at the Suffolk County Farm and
Education
Center. Assist with day-today operations of the Diabetes Camp Program. Required
Qualifications
Paid or volunteer experience working with children and/or the public.
Experience
with diabetes education and/or issues related to the disease. Must be at least 16 years old to comply with New York State Department of Health regulations. Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position. Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional education and training in the field of education. Additional education in the areas of environmental science, horticulture, animal science, agriculture and/or natural science. Some teaching experience. Ability to assist with teaching and a keen interest in educating youth. Leadership abilities. A positive and energetic attitude.
