This includes providing accessibility at all stages of the employment cycle. $32.45/Hour Monday to Friday (Days) 30 + Hours/Week Responsible to the Paper Mill Shipper Lead Hand/Mill Supervisor, the Shipper Helper is responsible for the safe and efficient performance of all duties, while controlling raw materials received and stock control. All employees are mandated to create a zero-injury environment and engage actively in all areas of SPS. Responsibilities: Perform safe and efficient operation of a Lift truck Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and trailers Assist in shipping as directed Back up Lead Hand when required Accurate completion of all paperwork and data entry Placement of product in warehouse Use computer programs to compile accurate information and/or reports Coordinate changes/adjustments that will affect team member’s areas of responsibility Participate and adhere to safety culture and report unsafe conditions Maintain good housekeeping standards Requirements: Possess a valid forklift operator’s license Knowledge of customer loading patterns on trailer Computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office programs General math skills RF Scanner experience would be an asset Class A-Z License would be desirable Ability to perform physical requirements of the job Are 18 years of age or older Have Grade 12 education or equivalent (Proof Required) When you join Sonoco, you will get The Total Package: Stability, Growth/Opportunity, Friendly/Safe/Family Culture.
