Litigation Practice Support Lawyer

Job Description Summary:Fenwick is seeking a Litigation Practice Support Lawyer (“PSL”) who will support each of the firm’s four litigation subgroups (Patent Litigation, IP & Complex Litigation, Securities Litigation and Employment Litigation). As described in detail below, the PSL’s responsibilities will include: creating, distributing, and managing model documents and forms; developing and organizing content and knowledge resources for each practice area; implementing and promoting the use of artificial intelligence and other relevant technology; preparing and presenting training materials; and managing and drafting internal and external thought leadership content. This role may be based in any of our U.S. offices except Boston, MA, and will require 2–3 days of in‑office presence per week, with additional onsite days as needed to support business and client requirements. This is a full‑time exempt role. Job Description: Training Partner with the Attorney Training team and Practice Management to develop and deliver substantive and practical legal skills training programs for attorneys and paralegals. Prepare and present materials for training sessions and practice group meetings. Mentor junior attorneys on presentation skills and substantive legal matters. Maintain an organized, accessible archive of all training materials. AI Innovation Drive AI innovation initiatives across the Litigation practice group. Collaborate with attorneys and the Knowledge Management and Innovation team to identify opportunities for AI integration. Collect, organize, and document AI use cases relevant to litigation practice. Actively test, refine, and promote AI-driven tools and workflows to meet practitioner and client needs. Work with the Knowledge and Innovation team to pilot, implement, and drive adoption of AI and other technology tools for both client-facing and internal functions (e.g., discovery, document preparation, litigation budgeting). Knowledge Management Develop and implement strategies to make practice content readily accessible to attorneys, including model briefs, exemplars, case and judge information, and matter-specific resources. Assist practitioners in locating relevant internal and external knowledge resources and technologies. Build and maintain repositories for key practice information, including judge and expert databases. Internal & External Content Development Regularly review internal and publicly available materials to identify legal market trends and best practices. Develop and maintain substantive content for marketing and business development, including client alerts, articles, presentations, case studies, market surveys, and blog posts. Monitor relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and case law; proactively inform practice groups of significant legal developments. Respond timely to substantive queries and update resources as needed. Model Documents & Forms Create, maintain, and promote model documents, forms, precedents, drafting guidance, and practice area resource materials for each litigation subgroup. Develop client- and jurisdiction-specific templates for court filings. Identify forms suitable for automation and collaborate with the Knowledge and Innovation team to implement automated solutions. Qualifications
Legal Skills & Knowledge Expert legal knowledge and practice skills; experience in one or more of the firm's litigation subgroup areas is a plus. Strong legal drafting and analytical abilities. Up-to-date knowledge of current legal market trends, news, and practice area developments. Collaboration & Communication Demonstrated commitment to knowledge-sharing, efficiency, and teamwork. Ability to build relationships across the firm and gain buy-in for new initiatives from partners, associates, and business professionals. Superior client service, communication, and interpersonal skills with a user-friendly approach. Ability to motivate participation in new systems at all levels of the organization. Organization & Initiative Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and efficient. Able to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable to changing workflows and able to work effectively with interruptions. Strategic mindset with an understanding of firm and practice group goals and culture. Technology & Innovation Genuine interest in exploring and adopting AI technologies and legal tech tools. Willingness to experiment with AI-driven workflows and contribute to their continuous improvement. No technical expertise required — curiosity, openness to learning, and a growth mindset are what matter. Reporting to the Litigation Practice Group Director, the ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a law firm litigation practice.
Experience
with project management, implementing legal software tools, and/or attorney training a plus. J.D. required. #LI-Hybrid

The anticipated range for this position is: $186,000 - $279,000 Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.
