Duties
The administrative operations lead supports Academic Success Centers through email and phone communication, event scheduling, supply procurement, and external communications, while also providing backup support for the reception area. TLC-specific duties include overseeing TLC facilities and technology, coordinating scheduling, monitoring operations in the tutoring spaces, and supporting both staff and the assistant director. The TLC Administrative Assistant also assists TLC student staff with maintaining a high level of professionalism among undergraduate peer educators. The position is also a contributing member of the TLC professional staff. This is a 75% appointment, with a full-time (100%) work schedule during the academic year and no work obligation during the summer months. **Full position description is available upon request. ** Key
Job Responsibilities
Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures Department: Academic Success Administrative Operations lead serves the Academic and Career Advising Center (ACAC), the Disability Resource Center (DRC), the Office of International
Education
(OIE) and the Tutoring-Learning Center (TLC). This position manages internal and external operational needs for the suite and serves as the primary support for the Tutoring-Learning Center. Compensation: The TLC Administrative Assistant position is a .75 FTE academic year appointment. Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting hourly rate of $19.14, commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications.
