Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing filtration and water treatment systems at customer sites. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer equipment operates safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional service and technical support. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, has strong troubleshooting skills, and is comfortable working independently at customer locations. Previous experience with water treatment or filtration systems is highly preferred but not required. Key
Responsibilities
Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial filtration and water treatment systems. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and related equipment. Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements when needed. Maintain accurate service documentation and inventory of parts and supplies. Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment status, repairs, and recommendations. Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures. Identify and report safety concerns while promoting a safe work environment. Work independently or collaboratively with internal teams to complete service activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment. 0–2 years of technical or field service experience preferred.
Experience
with water treatment, filtration systems, pumps, or industrial equipment is a strong plus. Strong mechanical, electrical, or diesel troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile devices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and required customer site clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.). Ability to obtain a CDL (Class A or B) if required by the business unit. Schedule This position follows a Dupont rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
operating or maintaining industrial filtration or water treatment systems.
Experience
with pumps, valves, piping, or other process equipment. Fusion welding experience is a plus. Previous field service or industrial maintenance experience.
