Field Service Technician | Nisku, Alberta If you're someone who enjoys working with tools, solving mechanical issues, and being hands-on in the field, this role was built for you. As a Field Service Technician, you'll support the startup, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wastewater pumping systems and related equipment. From time to time, you'll work directly with wastewater equipment and systems while supporting customer operations and maintaining a safe work environment. Conduct preventative maintenance on pumps and associated equipment. Evaluate, repair, and perform hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps. Troubleshoot pump equipment and basic electrical control panels. Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. Support emergency service calls and customer field support activities. Operate and maintain a service truck equipped with crane and outriggers. Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment. Utilize company-provided hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Maintain accurate service and repair documentation using Xylem's work order management system. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Protect and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Work directly with customers while delivering exceptional service and support. By helping keep critical pump equipment operating reliably, you'll play an important role in protecting infrastructure, supporting communities, and advancing sustainable water solutions throughout Western Canada. What We're Looking For Required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. 0-2 years of technical experience Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve technical problems. Valid driver's license. Ability to operate company service equipment safely. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Field service experience. Mechanical maintenance experience. Pump experience. a plus! Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.

Experience

reading schematics and wiring diagrams.

working with industrial equipment. Requirements
