Job description

Learning Management System (LMS) Position Summary The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's Learning Management System, with a strong emphasis on Workday Learning. This role ensures a seamless learning experience by managing learning programs, maintaining system integrity, supporting users, and providing reporting and analytics that enable organizational learning initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, technically proficient, and experienced in administering enterprise learning systems. Essential

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the organization's Learning Management System (LMS), with hands-on responsibility for Workday Learning. • Configure and manage courses, curricula, certifications, learning journeys, instructor-led training, virtual classes, and online learning programs. • Coordinate course scheduling, enrollments, attendance tracking, completions, and learner communications. • Upload, test, publish, and maintain digital learning content while ensuring data accuracy and quality. • Provide timely technical support to learners, instructors, and business partners by resolving LMS-related issues and responding to user inquiries. • Generate and analyze LMS reports and dashboards to monitor compliance, learner engagement, and training effectiveness. • Perform routine audits to ensure learner records, assignments, and course completions are accurate and up to date. • Collaborate with Learning & Development, HR, HR Technology, and external learning vendors to support learning initiatives, system enhancements, and integrations. • Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of Workday updates, new functionality, and LMS enhancements. • Develop and maintain LMS documentation, operational procedures, and user guides to support governance and consistent system administration. • Identify opportunities to improve LMS functionality, processes, and the overall learner experience.

Qualifications

Required • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Learning & Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred • Minimum of three (3) years of Learning Management System administration experience. • Hands-on experience administering Workday Learning is required. •

Experience

supporting instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and online learning programs. • Strong analytical skills with experience creating and interpreting LMS reports and dashboards. • Excellent customer service, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Preferred •

Experience

working with enterprise learning platforms and external content providers (e.g., Skillsoft, LinkedIn Learning, Vector Solutions, or similar). • Knowledge of SCORM, AICC, xAPI, or other eLearning standards. •

Experience

supporting LMS implementations, upgrades, system testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Familiarity with learning analytics and compliance training programs.
