Objectives must be maintained to minimize inventory investments and ensure maximum manufacturing efficiencies. Coordinate activities and efforts required for optimum utilization of components and provide direction for prioritization of these components required to support our production plans. Responsibilities
Improve standardized practices and procedures for Home Energy Hattiesburg to support Supply Chain goals and objectives. Implement new tools, best practice and support implementation. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling and procurement release of production assembly items where required. Analyze computerized requirement planning (MRP) to schedule all components assigned. Analyze and assist with coordination in the development of the Monthly Orders Forecast for parts and finished goods for Materials and Production personnel. Review requirements, planning exception notices and take action that will correct any discrepancies between Master Schedule requirements and production schedule capacities. Coordinate material flow through that supports Supply Chain theory, FIFO by working in conjunction with Materials, Engineering and Assembly departments. Verifies components or raw material availability before manufacturing orders are released to the production floor. Establishes order policies and stocking levels for parts analyzing cost of the part and its subsequent consumption. Monitors and revises as necessary to change needs and demands. Support Strategic Deployment initiatives through root cause analysis, GAP charting and corrective action plans. Report and coordinate improvement to weekly performance and status of critical items and aging orders. Coordinate with Production Schedulers, Engineering Change Board, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing to control obsolescence exposure of products. Work with customer and vendor base to eliminate scheduling conflicts and assure parts delivery to satisfy customer and operational needs. Participate in the implementation or enhancements of SAP. Participate in integration tests and determine functionality. Provide training to users, problem solving and answer questions from users. Investigate potential errors. Maintain and control SAP master data for Planning/Scheduling functions. Participate with Production Schedulers to develop Component level schedules. Continuing with self-development through training programs, seminars, and self-study. Participate in annual physical inventory as required. Perform other assignments as directed by Manager. Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulation and California Health and Safety Code. Frequent contact with all levels of Production Planning and Inventory Control personnel Frequent contact with Production Management Frequent contact with Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, and Systems personnel Moderate contact with Marketing, Customer Service, New Product Timing, Manufacturing Support, and Plant Managers Develop working relationships with vendors and customers
Requirements
