Job description

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to plan and direct activities concerning quality improvement, quality systems development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for fuel injector manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Complete root cause analysis of internal production rejects and customer trouble reports. To ensure all Quality investigations are thorough and complete, with true root cause analysis, and assure all major and minor change points are controlled and completed in customers’ best interests.

Preferred Qualifications

(Education, Experience, and Skills): 4-year College Degree in Mechanical or other Engineering, or Engineering Technology. Skills and Abilities

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy with Root Cause Analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment. Analyzes technology, resource needs, market demand, and confers with all departments to assess the feasibility of projects. Improves manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives. Maintains knowledge of all assigned processes, procedures, and equipment. Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility. High level of technical ability and ability to successfully lead projects. Software: Basic experience required in Microsoft Windows Intermediate experience required in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic experience in Minitab preferred. Advanced experience with Excel preferred. Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions: Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting. Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen. Full motor skills are required. This position is classified as Exempt under applicable wage‑and‑hour laws. As such, the employee is expected to exercise independent judgment and to work the time required to meet job responsibilities, which may include working in excess of 40 hours per week. Work Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc. Requires up to 5% travel Manufacturing floor settings with noise is common. Office with workspace is common.
