Initial Posting Date: 07/15/2026 Application Deadline: 07/29/2026 Agency: Department of Justice Salary Range: $7,807 - $11,823 Position Type: Employee Position Title: *Senior Power Platform Developer (Information Systems Specialist 8) Job Description: The Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ), Information Services Section is seeking to hire a Senior Power Platform Developer (Information Systems Specialist 8) to serve as a senior‑level authority, architect, and technical leader for our enterprise Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem spanning Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, Power BI integrations, and AI‑enabled capabilities. In this role, you will deliver expert consultation, design leadership, and platform engineering across DOJ divisions to build secure, reliable, compliant, and user‑focused business applications that directly support mission‑critical operations. You will ensure all solutions meet DOJ security baselines, follow enterprise governance standards, adhere to FTI, PII, CJIS, and NIST 800‑53 requirements, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems, data platforms, identity controls, and external partners—using modern lifecycle, auditability, and compliance patterns. Operating within the Dev/Ops Experience, you will lead solution architecture, oversee Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), establish reusable components, evaluate platform capabilities, and provide guidance to developers and business units. You will define technical direction for Power Platform, collaborate with enterprise security, architecture, and data teams, advise management on roadmap decisions, mentor junior developers, and help ensure DOJ’s low‑code environment remains stable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise strategy. This role is a hybrid of remote work and in-office work. Remote work is embraced to the fullest extent possible without interfering with business. Duties
(In Part) Enterprise Application & Automation Delivery: Design, develop, and implement advanced Power Platform solutions (canvas/model‑driven apps, automated flows, multi‑stage processes, Power Pages, Dataverse, AI Copilot); lead requirements analysis to translate complex needs into secure, scalable, user‑centered applications; define enterprise‑grade UX patterns, connectors, custom APIs, and integration layers; provide Tier 3 escalation support and guidance to junior developers and customers. Power Platform Governance and Compliance: Ensure operational reliability, performance, and compliance across the Power Platform; monitor capacity, environments, connectors, licensing, run histories, DLP policies, and environment‑level controls; enforce governance (naming conventions, data classification, security roles, lifecycle retention); oversee versioning, dependencies, environment strategy, and risk mitigation, coordinating with Information Security (NIST‑aligned controls, auditing, logging) and infrastructure teams (identity, integrations, platform sustainability). Power Platform Architecture, Integrations, and ALM: Architect secure integrations with enterprise systems (SharePoint Online, Azure services, SQL, SaaS, DOJ data platforms); guide enterprise/custom connectors, APIs, and integration patterns; lead ALM (managed/unmanaged solutions, Dev/Test/Prod pipelines, GitHub/Azure DevOps automation, standardized deployments); run proofs of concept, evaluate capability updates, and recommend new Microsoft features/approaches that strengthen DOJ’s digital service experience; provide authoritative guidance in multi‑team modernization efforts. Enterprise Integration Planning and Coordination: Research, evaluate, and recommend platform‑wide improvements, enterprise patterns, plugins, governance changes, and adoption strategies; create roadmaps for app modernization, workflow automation, low‑code maturity, and cross‑agency collaboration; develop architectural reviews, business cases, and impact analyses; contribute to statewide and DOJ architecture forums; lead planning for major releases, security updates, change windows, operational readiness, and customer‑experience improvements. Education
will be counted as experience if degree is in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or if a two (2) year accredited vocational training program was completed in information technology or related field. Associate’s Degree (or 2-year vocational training) = Two (2) Years Bachelor's Degree = Four (4) Years Master's Degree = Six (6) Years AND 5+ years of comprehensive knowledge and experience in designing, developing, and supporting solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps – Canvas & Model Driven, Power Automate, Power BI). Strong experience with Dataverse, including data modeling, security roles, business rules, and integrations. Proven ability to design end to end business solutions using Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, integrations).
Experience
integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Azure services, and external systems via APIs/connectors.
