Experience
Student to gain practical exposure within the Quality Department. The successful candidate will support Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Laboratory, and Quality Systems activities while developing valuable technical and professional skills within a leading FMCG manufacturing environment. The programme provides structured workplace learning and hands-on exposure to quality management systems, laboratory operations, continuous improvement initiatives, compliance requirements, and manufacturing quality processes. Responsibilities
Quality Laboratory Support Perform sampling and testing of incoming raw materials against approved specifications and Certificates of Conformance (COC’s). Support testing of bulk batches to verify compliance with product specifications. Conduct on-line quality control checks during manufacturing processes. Assist with calibration and verification of laboratory measurement and testing equipment. Maintain material retention and reference samples. Support water sampling, water testing, and quality monitoring activities. Compile Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and quality documentation. Participate in product trend analysis and quality improvement initiatives. Quality Systems & Compliance Assist with document control and record management. Support non-conformance management processes and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). Participate in internal audits and compliance assessments. Assist with change management activities and certification compliance requirements. Support implementation and monitoring of GMPs, PRPs, hygiene, sanitation, and quality standards. Participate in microbiological monitoring and cleaning verification activities. Assist in monitoring plant hygiene and quality service standards. Quality Operations Participate in factory walkabouts and quality inspections. Assist in positive release activities for finished products. Support investigations relating to product non-conformances and consumer complaints. Analyze quality and marketplace feedback data to identify continuous improvement opportunities. Participate in factory trials, innovation projects, and quality gatekeeping activities. Compile quality reports, presentations, and weekly performance updates. Support staff training and quality awareness initiatives. Packaging Quality Exposure Conduct sampling and inspection of incoming packaging materials. Perform packaging tests, including dimensional checks, colour verification, and barcode verification. Support investigations into packaging defects and quality issues. Assist with supplier quality management activities. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Participate in packaging-related continuous improvement projects. Minimum
Requirements
National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in: Food Technology Analytical Chemistry Microbiology Biotechnology Packaging Diploma Strong academic performance. Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
