We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Mobile Diesel Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for traveling to customer locations to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency service on industrial pump equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong diesel or automotive mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Key

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites using a company-provided service vehicle. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered pump equipment and related mechanical systems. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services to maximize equipment reliability. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and minimize equipment downtime. Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur. Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain inventory of service parts, tools, and supplies in the company vehicle. Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition, repair recommendations, and maintenance needs. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Keep the company service vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained.

Qualifications

3+ years of diesel technician, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or automotive technician experience required. Strong mechanical aptitude with proven diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.

Experience

working on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, or industrial equipment is highly preferred. Automotive technicians with strong diagnostic experience are encouraged to apply. Ability to work independently in the field without direct supervision. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic computer or tablet skills for completing service documentation.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Must meet and maintain company driving requirements to operate a company service vehicle. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Willingness to travel locally throughout the assigned service area. Availability for occasional overtime and emergency after-hours service calls as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

servicing industrial pumps or pump systems. Diesel engine certifications (ASE, OEM, or equivalent). Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience. CDL is a plus but not required.
