Food Service Worker 1 - Dining Room Attendant (Multiple Positions)

Job Description Housing & Food Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Dining Room Attendant (Food Service Worker 1 (NE S WFSE Campuswide)) to join their team. About this Opportunity Reporting to Unit/Assistant Manager/Chef de Cuisine/Sous Chef, the Dining Room Attendant is responsible for supporting food service unit production and service by maintaining the cleanliness, stocking and appearance of front of house spaces and service areas. Though hired into a specific working title or location, all employees of Housing & Food Services are expected to support overall operations by: participating in cross-training, providing coverage during staff absences or high business volume, participating in production and/or service of special events, and being willing and able to perform additional, related duties and/or be reassigned to another work unit (as appropriate, within job classification). Schedules may be changed with two weeks’ notice. These positions are nine-month cyclic position that will work full-time, mid-September to mid-June. Additional work may be available in the summer based on business needs and seniority. Key
Responsibilities
Maintain Cleanliness of Dining Room Spaces – 50% Maintain the sanitation and appearance of the dining and service areas by clearing, cleaning and sanitizing dining areas including tables, chairs, booths and counters Remove front of house trash, compost and recycling as needed throughout the day. Cleans interior and exterior of trash, recycling and compost receptacles daily Dust and clean walls, doors, tables, chairs and dining room furniture Cleans glass windows and entry way doors on a continuous basis Vacuum, sweep and mop as needed to address spills or overall cleanliness during service Report needs for repairs and maintenance to supervisor Front of House Stocking and Customer Service – 40% Stocks front of house supplies; including condiments, beverages, soda machines, silverware, napkins Monitor soda and beverage dispensers, restocks and cleans as needed. Stocks front of house impulse, retail, and grab and go items to maintain attractive and well merchandised service areas Food Service and Back of House Operations -10% May maintain the sanitation, order and appearance of the dish room; wash dishes, pots, pans, wares, trays and aprons; operate dish machine and dish return belt Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of loading dock / garbage receptacle areas Required
