Sitecore Technical Lead & Platform Architect

Job Description Role Overview We are seeking a Sitecore Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise B2B eCommerce platform. This role combines deep technical expertise in Sitecore with architecture leadership, platform ownership, and team leadership responsibilities. The role includes leading offshore teams and contributing to the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE). We are seeking an experienced Sitecore Technical Lead to lead the architecture, engineering, and evolution of our global digital experience platform. This role will provide technical leadership across Sitecore XM/XP, headless and composable architectures, and enterprise integrations supporting a large-scale B2B eCommerce ecosystem. The successful candidate will combine deep hands-on Sitecore expertise with architecture leadership, engineering governance, and distributed team leadership. The role will partner closely with Product Management, Technical Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Engineering teams within the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE). Key
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture Lead architecture and design discussions for Sitecore-based solutions Define and enforce Sitecore Helix, composable, and MACH-aligned best practices Design headless solutions using Sitecore JSS, SXA, and XM Cloud Guide API-first and integration architecture (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) Ensure solutions align with enterprise security, performance, and cloud standards Define target-state architecture and modernization roadmap for Sitecore and adjacent DX platforms Lead technical design authority for Sitecore implementations, integrations, and reusable services Establish engineering guardrails, coding standards, and architectural governance Evaluate and recommend emerging Sitecore and composable DX capabilities Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, data, and integration standards Platform Ownership Own the Sitecore platform roadmap, upgrades, and modernization strategy Own technical lifecycle management including upgrades, patches, supportability, and platform currency Drive adoption of cloud-native Sitecore capabilities (XM Cloud, Personalize, Content Hub) Partner with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and observability Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance Delivery & Engineering Excellence Lead delivery of headless and composable digital experiences Drive code quality through reviews, testing standards, and documentation Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical backlog refinement Troubleshoot complex production and performance issues Support incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities Champion performance optimization, accessibility, SEO, and security best practices Ensure high-quality technical documentation and knowledge transfer Team Leadership (Onshore & Offshore) Lead and mentor a distributed offshore development team Manage and coordinate offshore engineering capacity and delivery outcomes Provide technical guidance, coaching, and hands-on support Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement Establish effective collaboration and delivery practices across global teams Operational & Non-Functional Focus Performance and scalability Security and compliance Availability and resiliency Maintainability and supportability Technical debt reduction Observability and monitoring Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product Management and TPM teams to translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions Collaborate with Architecture, Security, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Support executive and governance reporting where required Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) Act as Sitecore Technical Lead within the Digital CoE Define reusable components, frameworks, and engineering standards Contribute to platform governance, innovation, and best practices Required
Qualifications
8+ years of enterprise .NET / Sitecore development experience 3+ years in a technical lead or solution lead role Strong experience with Sitecore JSS, SXA, and Sitecore 10+ Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
Experience
leading distributed or offshore teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
with Sitecore XM Cloud, Personalize, or Content Hub Sitecore certification (v10+)
