Partner with the best This is a position in the Facilities Maintenance organization with responsibility for ensuring that the facilities infrastructure and building operations equipment continue to operate in a safe and effective manner while moving towards the goal of "no unplanned downtime" of the Reuter Stokes facility. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for: · Responsible for maintaining/troubleshooting and solving technical issues and opportunities pertaining facilities operations. · Responsible for monitoring the condition of the building's utility systems and the general operation of facilities equipment. · Assist senior technicians with their projects and day-to-day responsibilities. · Perform general labor throughout the facility. · Responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks. · Recommend spare parts to keep on-hand, that if not available could potentially impact our customers’ ability in meeting their commitments. · Be willing to participate in any aspect / component of facilities maintenance. · Assist in the monitoring of services provided by outside contractors ensuring EHS policies are followed. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will need to have: · High school diploma. · 1-year experience in facilities preventative maintenance ideally in electrical, HVAC, construction and/or plumbing. · Possess a mechanical aptitude in and out of work · Have commercial/industrial building maintenance experience, preferred. · Ability to effectively work with a variety of teams within the facility as well as independently. · Off shift periodically, be on call roughly 1 week/month. Also willing to work overtime, as needed. · Innovative - willingness to learn and think creatively. · Inclusive - able to work well in a team environment and independently. · Externally focused - able to consider customer needs and make a commitment to quality. · Safety conscience with the ability to advance initiatives/ projects where maintenance support is needed. · Self-motivated and directed. · Willingness to work overtime, as needed. · Effective Team contributor and member with a positive attitude. · Self-motivated and willing to learn other trades/skills. · Capable of performing continuous physical labor throughout a normal workday. · Have a flexible schedule and be willing to train for "On-call Technician" program. Preferred Qualifications: · AA/AS degree in a technical field. · Certified with Facilities Maintenance · Possess knowledge in at least one of the building codes such as the NEC, UBC, NFC, and UPC. · Possess knowledge of multiple aspects of facilities such as boilers, chillers, refrigeration equipment, pumps, plumbing, construction, painting, electrical switchgear, generators along with the operation of natural and propane gas systems. · Demonstrated abilities in analytical troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical problems · Willing to work as an apprentice technician to senior tradesman (Millwright). · Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. · Customer orientated mindset. · Proactive work ethics, creativity, energy. · Welding, machining, carpentry, & plumbing skills required · Must have general knowledge of most power and hand tools.
