Experience
working with K-12 students. Conditions of Employment: All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed, on average, 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve-month period beginning May 1 each year. This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor. This is a term-limited position, subject to the continued availability of funding. Duties
80% - Camper Oversight: Maintain a high level of vigilance in the supervision, safety, and management of campers during all camp activities and transit between activities. Enthusiastically engage and effectively communicate expectations with campers. Be attentive to potential camper concerns and apprise appropriate staff members of issues. Reside in the residence halls for the entire duration of the program. 10% - Communication: Complete the Daily Report each day in a timely manner. Act as a liaison between campers, Head Resident Advisors, On-site Assistant Program Coordinators, and staff. Act as a liaison with WM staff. Attend a full-day Residence Life Advisor Orientation. 10% - Event Coordination: Assist in the implementation of weekend and evening activities. Assist with Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the final Class Presentation Day, as needed. Support the On-Site Assistant Program Coordinator with any tasks related to the program.
