Position Summary The Accountant manages all aspects of the month-end close process, completes account reconciliations, prepares sales & use tax returns, assists in internal and external audits, and assists with variance analysis as requested. The Accountant will report directly to the NAM Business Unit Controller. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for timely completion of Month-end close process for multiple business units Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations Assist in development of Budgets and Forecasts Maintain local ERP general ledger and upload data in Crane Co financial consolidation system, HFM Maintain Fixed Asset records, Capital Expenditure Requests and Audits Monitor and report on inventory obsolescence and slow-moving items Conduct special projects and analysis as requested by management Manage 3rd party commission payments and rebates Assist monthly financial statements Assist with Sales and Use Tax MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and promptly with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal. Technology savvy. Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise and Analyzer a plus. Demonstrate ability to perform accurately while meeting tight deadlines and giving highest attention to detail.
