Special Markets Consultant
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development & Sales Growth: • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the university and government sectors. • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within educational institutions and government healthcare departments. • Drive sales growth through direct engagement with procurement teams, academic leaders, department heads, and key decision-makers. • Achieve and exceed annual sales and market share objective • Achieve monthly KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator’s) University & Academic Engagement: • Build strong relationships with universities, dental schools, postgraduate programmes, and training institutions. • Promote adoption of company products and solutions within undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes. • Support curriculum integration initiatives where appropriate. • Coordinate educational workshops, product demonstrations, and training sessions for students, lecturers, and clinical educators. • Develop future customer pipelines by increasing student exposure to company brands. Stakeholder Relationship Management: • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, university faculty, department heads, government officials, and procurement teams. • Represent the company at conferences, congresses, academic events, and government forums. • Act as the primary liaison between the company and designated institutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work closely with Sales Managers and Field Sales Consultants to execute growth initiatives. • Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical
Education
and Specialist teams to deliver impactful programmes. • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support business strategy.
Qualifications
&
Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Dentistry, or related field advantageous • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in healthcare, medical device, dental, education, or government sales advantageous •
Experience
managing tenders and institutional accounts is advantageous. • Basic understanding of public sector procurement processes advantageous Competencies: • Strategic business development • Relationship building and stakeholder management • Negotiation and influencing skills • Presentation and training skills • Commercial acumen • Project management • Analytical and planning skills Travel
Requirements
